Registered Respite Manager (3619)

We have an exciting opportunity for a temporary Registered Manager to join our dedicated team in Respite in Cardiff.

 

You will need to hold a full UK driving license for this role.

About the Role

Mirus is seeking an experienced and dynamic Respite Registered Manager temporary up to 10-month. You will lead our Respite & CCX Registered Services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered support for adults with learning disabilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the delivery of consistent, high-quality respite services in line with Mirus values and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and motivate staff teams, ensuring services meet quality, contractual, and legislative requirements.
  • Manage service budgets, contracts, and deliver against key objectives.
  • Promote a positive culture of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing.
  • Support geographically dispersed teams and act as a role model for good practice.
  • Ensure effective risk management, compliance, and business continuity planning.
  • Provide strong leadership, supervision, and support to direct reports.
  • Oversee recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of staff.
  • Lead on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • At least 5 years' experience working in person-centered services for adults with learning disabilities.
  • At least 5 years' experience managing people and services.
  • Experience managing budgets and reporting on financial performance.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • QCF 5 / Registered Managers Award or equivalent in Health & Social Care.
  • Registered as a Social Care Manager with Social Care Wales.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to inspire teams, manage performance, and drive service improvement.
